Birmingham PTA

Greetings Birmingham Families!

On behalf of the Birmingham Elementary School PTA, I am so excited to welcome all our new and returning families to the 2023-24 school year! We are energized to be back on campus and have been working hard with Mrs. Halligan, Mrs. Gragert and the amazing teachers and staff to reimagine how the PTA can best support our students and  school community.

My name is Samantha House and I am honored, as well as eager, to serve as your PTA president this school year. I am the proud mother to four children, including two Birmingham Bears, Kaia (2nd) and Eva (1st).

Back to School is an exciting time for our students, the staff and parents alike. Many opportunities lie ahead, and we are eager to get started. The PTA gives parents an opportunity to be engaged in the children’s school life. Research shows that in schools where parents are involved, students have a greater changes for success which is evidenced by higher test scores, mores consistent attendance, and an overall involvement in the schools. Attend the monthly PTA meeting, volunteer on a PTA committee, or participate in the many activities sponsored by the PTA. Simply collecting Box Tops shows your child that you are interested in the education and their school. There are many ways in which you can be involved, such as volunteering your time at Book Fairs, Game Night,the Spring Carnival, Movie Nights, Fun Run, Art Expo, the Santa Shop and the Spring Dance...just to name a few.

As always, the PTA would like to welcome the new teachers and staff to Birmingham Elementary. We look forward to getting to know them and watching them share their talents and expertise with our kids.
